What is "Vampire Books for Blood?"   Author Scott Burtness created the Vampire Books for Blood event in 2014. It's held annually from October 1st through to the 31st. The event brings vampire book authors together for a shared goal: to raise money for the American Red Cross and Canadian Blood Services. Participating authors each pledge to donate at a portion of their sales of their book(s) during the month of October to the American Red Cross or Canadian Blood Services. Each author has an individual agreement with the Red Cross or Canadian Blood Services and makes an individual donation at the end of the event. The "Vampire Books for Blood" event website allows readers to easily browse and find books from participating authors.
